TravelRiskWatch brings official travel guidance, current country reporting, a transparent 1–5 risk level, a 72-hour trend, and active natural events into one traveler-focused view.
It is designed for situational awareness. It does not replace government advice or guarantee that a destination is safe.
Email contact@travelriskwatch.com for support, feedback, corrections, or partnership questions.
Risk Level answers: “How risky is travel now?” The five colored segments show the current level from 1 to 5.
72-hour trend answers: “Does the evidence suggest conditions are changing?” A stable trend does not mean a country is safe.
Traveler posture gives the practical action associated with the current level. Tap the risk panel or Why this rating? to review the evidence.
TravelRiskWatch is designed for public travel-risk awareness. No account, login, or payment is required to use the core dashboard.
Saved alerts, saved countries, notification preferences, and offline cached alerts are stored on this device so you can review them later. Removing the app or clearing browser/app storage may delete those saved items.
The app may use basic analytics to understand usage and reliability. Public feed requests may be sent to TravelRiskWatch services and public-source providers so alerts, country guidance, and map information can load.
TravelRiskWatch does not sell personal information. Always verify final travel decisions with official government, airline, airport, and local sources before departure.

Checked shows when the app last completed that country scan. Individual reports and natural events show their own age when available.
Last updated information appears after the first successful scan. Live travel decisions should be verified online.
The outlook describes the likely direction of travel conditions over the next 72 hours. It is separate from the current 1–5 Risk Level.
Critical: fused signals point to severe near-term travel risk, such as closures, evacuation, attack, or emergency conditions.
Elevated: multiple signals indicate greater near-term travel volatility over the next 72 hours.
Watch: emerging signals deserve monitoring, but do not yet indicate severe deterioration.
Manageable: active signals exist, but current traveler disruption still appears manageable with normal preparation.
Stable: current evidence does not show a strong worsening pattern. Stable describes direction—not safety—and does not lower the current Risk Level.
Thin data: not enough fresh country-specific evidence is available to make a directional call.
The independent TravelRiskWatch Risk Level runs from 1 (Low) to 5 (Do Not Travel). It is not an official government rating and is not supplied by a third-party scoring API.
Weighting: official U.S., UK, and Canadian guidance 45%; security and conflict 25%; transport and border disruption 10%; current corroborated country reporting 10%; active natural hazards 5%; and freshness or direction of change 5%.
Official guidance establishes a minimum level. Recent, directly relevant and corroborated events may raise the result, but a quiet news scan cannot lower an official warning. Regional warnings are identified separately and do not automatically rate an entire country at the regional level.
The five key rating drivers shown on the country page are plain-language evidence summaries, not five separate numeric scores.
Levels: 1 Low; 2 Use Caution; 3 High Caution; 4 Reconsider Travel; 5 Do Not Travel.
The Signal Monitor shows independent reporting that directly matches the selected country. It does not replace official guidance.
New development: reporting published within the last 24 hours. Recent report: reporting from the last 24 to 72 hours. Background context: older relevant reporting that may provide context but is not treated as a current Top Alert.
No current match means this scan found no fresh independent report meeting the country-relevance threshold. It does not mean risk is zero.
The map shows active, time-bounded natural events such as earthquakes, floods, storms, wildfires, volcanoes, and other reported hazards. Nearby markers are grouped at wider zoom levels.
Natural events affect a country assessment only when they are recent, significant, and directly associated with that country.
Opt in per saved country. The app checks for danger-level changes and new active natural events when it opens or returns to the foreground. Instant alerts while the app is fully closed are not enabled.
No rating, trend, report, or map marker in the app should be treated as a final travel decision. Check official government, airline, airport, border, health, and local sources before departure.
